While I agree that the WR group isn't as talented with the loss of Cooks, I also believe the offense will be just as good. I expect to see a lot more play action type throws than we've seen in the last couple seasons. I think that's the heart of it all.
That said, Michael Thomas and Willie Snead provide a very good 1-2 punch. Coleman and some other receivers that have been buried on the depth chart will get a chance to show what they've got. Sean Payton likes his toys. Everyone knows that. He's an offensive minded coach and enjoys deploying his high powered offensive aerial attack. There's no way he traded Cooks without having a plan in place or an idea of who is going to step up next. He's done it for years. The offense will still be firing on all cylinders. |
