this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Our offense has always survived the injury bug. Credit Brees for that. Defense is another story. So many injuries in the backfield year in and year out for 4 years isn't just happenstance. Somebody is doing something wrong with that ...

That being said this thread is just silly. Way to early to worry about any of that. Don't worry I'm sure your fantasy football stats are safe. Relax and take a deep breath and quit posting asinine things. |

They scare no one and that would make it hard for the running game. Did you see this offense in 2014 when Cooks went down? It was putrid. Yes we had oline problems but we only had Graham and Stills at productive levels. This cannot be ignored until TC. I am hoping for Decker.

Re: Injuries happen
Lol. Ok. I understand if we have an injury at a critical position, but that's like running thru life saying "what if?".
Bottom line is that you can't just lose your **** because of a possibility. Injuries are part of the game man. And there's little doubt in my mind that Payton will have someone ready to step up. Man you weren't around for the days when this offense ran like a well oiled machine without big name receivers. I know it was before Payton (and probably before you as well), but do you think Joe Horn was awesome before he came to NOLA? Hell I think he was cut by multiple teams. There was Willie Jackson, Poole, Floyd and so on. Dude Colston was a 7th round draft pick out of a school that no longer has a football program. Hell look at Lance Moore and even Willie Snead. The list goes on and on. The Saints, especially under Payton, always have WRs ready to jump in and catch passes from Brees. Would I freak out if Thomas got hurt? Of course. But I have more confidence in this program and it's development of WRs then any other before it, and there were some good ones. |

Re: Injuries happen
Cooks is in New England now. Get over it! Not like we traded Jerry Rice or Randy Moss.

And you will also get over it if Thomas gets hurt and the offense plays like 2014. |

Heck If PJ Williams, Breaux, Rankins, Ellerbe, Kikaha etc had not been injured, we may have made the playoffs last year.
