I'm concerned about solidifying the center because we ain't getting any younger at that position and Unger is hurt and coming off surgery.

Armstead is hurt again. Thank God we drafted Ramczyk.

Payton knows a potential problem when he sees one.

Yeah, Center is very critical. This concerns me more than anything else. That and a blocking TE. Hopefully he will be back but without those two pieces we are set up for failure. Won't be able the run the ball consistently and Brees has to stay on the move. If we end up snagging a TE I would deem that as a large red flag. And Unger, without him it's likely doom and gloom. Look what happened to Wilson.

Set up for failure? That's what some were saying around here last off-season and the offense was once again one of the top two in the league. We can play the full season without Unger and will still most likely finish up there in the top two or three again. Payton has been able to plug and play with every facet of the offense for the past decade.

It takes a QB that knows how to deal with pressure in the back field and has a strong enough passing game that defenses can't overstack the line of scrimmage. Brees excels at that unlike some people.

I hope we don't have to test that theory.

yeah no ****. If we do have to for a few games to start the regular season you have to hope the backup continues to do well.

We looked horrible in preseason because of our offensive line last season. We got lucky that we signed Jhari for one more season and it worked out for us.

Last season our offense was more consistent than the previous two years. People look at final stats and forget the situational football surrounding them. The year before we traded for Unger we played a defense with the least amount of sacks in the league and they ate drews ass all game and was specifically why we ended 7-9 and failed to make the playoffs. Think we had Goodwin that year. It was awful.
