Re: Nick Fairley Placed on NFI
I heard mentioned on NFL Radio that it may have been arrhythmia that was detected at the OTA exam. That can arise in anyone, but obviously more likely in someone with an already known heart condition. That would be a heart beat that was too slow, too fast or irregular.

Re: Nick Fairley Placed on NFI
You have to look at a players career... you can't judge off one season he is inconsistent over his career... he had a good year and deserved to get paid I'm not against the contract...

Re: Nick Fairley Placed on NFI
no, I am referring to people who insist in one instance we are weaker without said player and then turn around (because the situation necessitates a different outlook) and say we are no better or worse without the player. It can't be both.

Just what I thought. You're just making crap up, spkb25, to fit some sort of personal agenda.

Re: Nick Fairley Placed on NFI
I was able to get confirmation today on NFL Live on ESPN. As I was pretty sure, a new contract always requires a physical exam. Whatever the Saints medical staff found during the pre OTA exam of Fairley, which all players go through, was not present during the exam back in March prior to the signing of his new contract. You cannot put this on the Saints front office at all. They did their due diligence, but fate stepped in.
