Overall, the two big things on my mind is 1.Ingram not making or making AP look stupid as a backup and 2.the defense giving short fields actually paying off.

My thinking is that the offense will help support the defense rather than vice-versa...

It's going to be hard for defenses to key in on any one facet of the offense; You have AP/Ingram who should both be running well, defenses will have to stack the box more than just keying in on the pass. Than that opens up play-action and then when all else fails you have Kamara who should beast as the wild card like Sproles/Bush did...

^^^^^^^ This is most important for me. Take-aways /points off turnover ratio & getting off the field on 3rd down. Fix the defense & the Saints are going places in 2017.

Our 2009 defense... 25th in total yards, but 2nd in turnovers. Huge importance.

I am going to hold off until I see what w elook like in preseason. I am not a big believer in preseason setting the season other than if we look completely inept...like last year.

2.Will the oline be better than last year?

3.If AP is not starting, will he be able to break off massive runs with reduced volume?

4.Will Ingram actually start to beat good run defenses like the elites do?

5.Will the adage apply that a defense that gives short fields will cut down on Brees' poor throws and actually improve points?

6.Will Lutz be in a situation to have to kick more FGs than he is able to if the defense improves but only FG attempts result?

Maybe, closer to 20.

2.Will the oline be better than last year?

Depends on Unger. Armstead is never healthy anyway and we have gotten away with it. Andrus should be better. I don't see there being much of a drop off unless Ungers injury lingers

3.If AP is not starting, will he be able to break off massive runs with reduced volume?

That's the obvious plan. I don't think anyone expects him to start. All depends on his health.

4.Will Ingram actually start to beat good run defenses like the elites do?
Depends on APs health. By himself I think he's produced as much as he is going to. Which is pretty damn good when healthy. Agin it depends on health.

5.Will the adage apply that a defense that gives short fields will cut down on Brees' poor throws and actually improve points?

I've never heard of a defense improving a QBs throw. Short fields lead to more points. I would love to hear which other QBs you think have less "poor throws?" Dumbass

6.Will Lutz be in a situation to have to kick more FGs than he is able to if the defense improves but only FG attempts result?
Depends on field positiin and blocking . Most misses weren't all his fault. He seemed to learn to put ball higher.

7.If the defense is good, does the offense release hidden plays that would have been effective last year?

More so with a running game. He will have more options if both AP and Ingram are healthy. We will keep a lead by running up the gut to close games.

Overall, the two big things on my mind is 1.Ingram not making or making AP look stupid as a backup and 2.the defense giving short fields actually paying off. Short fields always pay off when you have a QB and offense like we do that can score pretty much on any play.

Still an idiot but I sense you may have gone outside of moms basement for 15 min or so to make groceries for her. Sunlight is good for you.
