Offensive line?
 

Is there anyone out there worth a damn that we can sign this late in the game? If so how do we make space. Armstead didn't bother me much because it was kind of expected and we've done ok without him in the past. Missing Unger is gonna hurt if he can't get back early. Kelemente was a surprise. That leaves us dangerously thin and I think it's a concern worth addressing.

I really think we have the potential to finally have a good to great running game which will help take some of the pressure off Brees. We are deep there too.

If a couple of these starters had gone down during the season fine, but starting out of the gate this thin is what bothers me.

Imo we have to win one of the first 2 games. We do that and we can make a run.

I think you are overreacting to Kelemente's being designated as preseason Active/PUP. Any player that is currently unable to clear the pre-camp physical gets placed on the PUP, no matter how minor the situation may be.

Last year at this time:

07/25/2016 25 - Placed LT Terron Armstead, WR Vincent Brown, LB Hau'oli Kikaha and CB Keenan Lewis on the active/physically unable to perform list.

Armstead. That was the one I was wanting to point out. He was close to being ready, but not there yet. Another notable name on the 2017 Active/PUP list is Andrew Luck. Any doubt he's going to play?

If there was anything of great note about Kelemente we would have had word. Y'all are welcome to expect the worst. I don't.

And common sense would dictate that anyone worth their salt would have already been signed; especially on the O-Line which teams put a pretty high premium on...

Both lines need help need to add a vet to both sides kaihl Barnes is not the vet imho go get the center from tje jets ungar may or may not be healthy and center is the most inportant for our offense

I couldn't tell you; I've never ever been to that site, let alone been a member over there...

But from what I've heard, you get banned for anything. That doesn't happen here; everyone may have their spats, but at the end of the day it's all in fun

Offensive line depth bothers me. Seems like we're spinning our wheels here and not gaining any ground. I hope the rookie can play left tackle from day one so Peat can play left guard.

Brees has aways needs protection to be productive. Brees has been productive up until the last game a few months ago.

I get why Dude is concerned. I am personally more of a optimist and I truly feel we will be ok. But the comment about maybe someone will get dropped could very well happen. So lets not panic yet until we need to. Keep the faith!

I agree, even with Dude's concern, but this is the preseason and the starters were on the sideline. Another major factor was that isn't wasn't Drew Brees taking the snaps. He has the ability to make his offensive line look much better.

Also he had the ability to take the team to 10 wins or 0 wins depending on his health. Our starters can keep him clean. Let's hope Unger and Rami are back. I also think we will see a pick up or two from elsewhere. Especially when cuts start coming .

Both valid points. I remember last preseason thinking we were totally screwed with the O line. Remember how terrible they looked? It worked out pretty well though.

I really need to re-watch the game. I was a bit preoccupied. My son's first album was released around midnight eastern time and it is currently sitting at #3 on the Blues chart on iTunes. Facebook has been blowing up. LOL

I don't think you can evaluate a team or a group in preseason. All you can do is evaluate players playing a potition. Who has it and who doesn't. The player they are lining up against or next to chances or may not even make a roster.

You are looking for the best 11 guys you can put on the field at one time.

right now I am worried what to do that my keeper RB from Dallas is suspended for 6 games!

Avoid Dallas players. I am in three IDP leagues (one a dynasty league) and their defensive players are hurting owners with suspensions, too.

That's good to hear. I've been listening to his music via Facebook for months now. Will be nice to be able to download the album.

Regardless of your personal feelings about Guido, you owe it to yourself to listen to some of Cameron's music. Very talented young man. Great music!

Dude- Ram was back at practice today. I think the cramps that sidelined him for multiple days finally subsided.

Funny how you post incessantly all day every day all preseason shooting everyone's opinions down, like the idea we needed help any along the offensive line. Yet you disappear after a real game when you realize most of us were right. Probably were up all night figuring how to save face.
No wonder you get bent out of shape so easily.
