Better year why does anyone believe a word Payton says about injuries? For ten years it's been the same. "So and so has a minor injury, expect him back soon" just for them to be out weeks or go on IR. It's Payton's M.O.
I understand why he does it, I just don't understand why people take it to heart every single time he does it even though he has proven to minimize severity of injuries time and time again.

Sure we all hope for the best but to expect his pattern to change is short sighted.

Exactly. And more than that he never stated they were all cramps. He said he thought some were. Snead I think is more than cramps per Tweet from Saints reporter who quoted SP

But agreed. I just ask people to be honest and stop lying. He didn't say that they were all cramps. But I am always hopeful they're minor injuries or cramps, because that is what we need as a team.

Yeah I remember, I think it was Butler from Dallas, and he was like we expect this, then all of a sudden he was on IR. LOL

Your team stinks

Who said they were all cramps? I just repeated what was said in his press conference. He was asked about the heat affecting more players today. He said, “Maybe a little bit more. We had a few more guys cramping. Overall, I think that is what you are looking for in training camp. You are pushing them. Overall, I thought that the periods went back-and-forth. There were a few that were sluggish.”

I assumed that applied to the two players (Klein and Warford) that were carted off. I was right.

When asked about Snead Payton answered, “Nothing specific.” Nothing more, nothing less.

Where was the tweet from the Saints reporter that said something else? I haven't seen any quote except those above. They came from the transcript of his entire press conference here.

Looks like it might be something more than cramps with Snead. Hopefully nothing serious

Also consider that the guys were just carted off a few minutes before Payton gave his presser...

It may take a few hours to make a full assessment; I know I'd get p/o'd when my Primary Care Doc would make me wait three hours, for a fly-by of "Hey, how's been my man?" as he circled me, then departed with a "see you next time!" before I could get a word out...

I'd imagine these guys are getting much better care, just look at those new locker rooms!!!

What does that have to do with someone else stating they were all cramps. SP never said that, never said that at all

Yeah, the players are an investment, I bet they are getting better care lol, especially the heftier the contract lmao
