He has worked hard this offseason and is bigger (10lbs says the reports), stronger and visibly faster than before. That does wonders for your confidence.

Coleman; Fuller; Snead have all been getting rave reviews so far in training camp... I wonder if it has anything to do with Curtis Johnson?

So does having a HOF QB say he trusts you and a head coach saying how much you've improved.

Last season, Payton called Coleman's camp "pedestrian". With some guys, that motivates them to do better, with others it hurts their confidence.

6'2" 210 4.43 aint a bad package. He has been lighting it up this off season so far.

The knock on him coming out of college was

Doesn't explode off the line, and takes a few strides to get up to full speed. Still raw in his technique, deliberate in his routes. Needs to do a better job of being more physical in his routes with his hands, and needs to prove he can handle the press. Also needs to prove he can track the football and come away with the contested catch. Lacks pop as a blocker, will get pushed backwards.

In other words Raw

Despite the injury history (foot surgery) he had in Detroit he had some great WR to help him on his skill set.
Calvin Johnson Golden Tate and Lance Moore were solid mentors. Detroit tried to sneak him onto the PS but we had a great scout in ex lions coach Joe Lombardi

6th round in 2014 was a shocker IMO but so was Kenny Stills in the fifth add Brandon Coleman going undrafted in 2015.

keep an eye on this kid. by season end he might make Ted "Butter Fingers" Ginn a return specialist only and a target for cap causality by 2019

he appears ready to establish himself as a legit NFL WR as does Coleman, check back with me in 2018

Brandon Coleman and Corey Fuller have a solid chance of becoming our 3/4 WR

Sounds a lot like what he was saying about Lance Moore several years ago.

So he's a true downfield threat?

Sure but that would be a waste of so many of his other skill sets. If that foot is healed and holds up he might give the saints a #3/#4 WR that is a weapon all over the field. Something we have not had in years.

He was on the upswing in Detroit before the foot injury. Also remember the Lions had Stafford locked onto Tate and Johnson on the field so few passes went his way. Even if he was open. Matthew Stafford is not really a QB that is known to spread the ball around. Drew will use him

Coleman was a rJr coming out of college that missed his entire Soph season. Two years of playing time killed his stock but in no way did I see him going undrafted. I was beating the drum a bit the longer the draft went on. Then to grab him as an UDFA had me labeling him as a steal. I expect some PS and a few bumps in the road when he did get a chance and now he looks to be poised to break out and establish himself as a threat team have to game plan for.

Cross your finger and sacrifice live chicken so when the draft in 2018 rolls around Coleman and Fuller make WR an after thought. Slot is my #1 wish. Replacing Ginn is #2

True dat! No way Stafford could even share the same urinal with Drew. Drew will get the ball to everyone. That's why that Cooks trade didn't phase me at all.

As far as that chicken sacrifice goes, would you settle for me dripping a bit of my chicken sandwich on my shirt while I was eating lunch today?
