My son is a musician that is hoping to make a living selling his music via many platforms. These type of activities take money out of the pockets of artists that we need. This is no different than piracy, bootlegging or any other means of gaining access without paying that reduces the income flow for artists of all types. I thought the same way before I learned what these type of things did to hamper the ability of artists to earn a living. Yes, we all have our regular paying jobs for the most part and have regular income coming in. Those in the artistic quarter do not. They are dependent on every small source of income.
Not a criticism of you at all, PJ, but I just wanted to share this and this was a platform.
Some people like paintings. I ain't much on it. My art is music. I should have been a music critic. No joke. I'm a music snob. I've loved music all my life. I can preach about it. Sometimes I do. 100% with you. Please don't steal. Just listen to rock/pop/country/jazz/etc for a few minutes and you'll realize we need all the artists we can get. You might also realize the ones that become rich and famous and remain that way through time do so because of their art. In their business, marketing is short term.
