Peterson's recovery doesn't worry me in the least. It was only a meniscus tear repair. It wasn't anything near as major as a ligament tear. It does not affect the stability of the knee at all. I had the exact same surgery by a sport surgeon about 15 years ago and never had any issue with it again. I walked out of the surgery and never needed anything like a cane or crutch. It hurt for awhile, but it really didn't hamper me much. In fact, he told me that some players like linemen can return to playing in two weeks ... with medication, of course. |
