I'm all for the reason behind the idea of having Sundays off, as I've mentioned. But doing there is just a plain head scratcher for me. I don't know why any restaurant chain would open a spot in a sporting arena. Small vendors and such stand a lot more to gain from this sort of thing. It's not like finding a Mcdonalds in the mall, where the mall is open every day. That sort of thing actually makes sense.
... and, yet again... the stadium is not going to be empty 5-6 days a week. It's not just a "sporting arena". Why people think that conventions, events, concerts, etc. are just 2 hours in a day, I don't know. For example, my oldest son just got the chance to work in the Guns N' Roses tour, setting up the stage on one leg of the tour. It took a large crew 4 full days to put it up, and 1 to take it down. So when you see that "sporadic" concert, sporting event, or convention, it takes a lot of people to put it in place and take it down. These people have to eat too.

Plus, what they sacrifice in business on Sundays, they get many times over in business from the people who appreciate the gesture of closing on Sundays, and employee morale.

I really like what we have seen in terms of movement from companies in recognizing that families need time too. I think they really led the way there. Now you're starting to see more places closing for black Friday or opening regular hours. I don't think people should be working on major holidays, just my opinion. It is better for society to be home and for families to enjoy time together. Just my opinion.
