this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It's an embarrassing story and one I'm sure he wishes would go away. Guido, for once I agree with you. Big difference between his situation and AFV. I hate that show and the stooge that hosts it...

Tell you what it is absolutely true, but I'd still make fun of you. It's hilarious and makes for a good laugh. If you don't find it funny go about your business. |

On different point though and to stress the importance of not taking life too serious: There is a poster on here who has a relationship with religion and I have watched him multiple times come after people for their stance on religion. He does it in a passive aggressive manor. I mean this is a football board. Keep your religion at home or in the right forum. I can tell there are some people on here who have done a lot of talking their entire lives to other people and have never been smacked. I am a firm believer in the principal of being taught a little street justice. It humbles you and keeps you from popping off to everyone and anyone. It is good for everyone to have that moment in life where they learn to be careful how they speak with others. I see it with my students even. Kid is going around bullying or popping off, chooses the wrong kid and all of a sudden they get smacked with a little perspective. |

I laugh at embarrassing **** I've done throughout my life all the time. It's a matter of perspective. You can sit there with your feelings hurt and your lips poked out or you can find something to laugh about. It's part of living a positive person and putting a positive spin on your life's follies as opposed to just spouting off how positive you are while in the same sentence pointing out what you interpret to be negative about a person. Just proves to me that you like to talk the talk but don't know how to walk the walk. |

Like when teams make rookies get on the table and sing, etc. That is meant to embarrass people but in a good way and for fun.
Now if people were calling the dudes home or sending him letters etc, I'd be against that. A few post on a football forum...come on now. Anecdotal: I do this with my kids, my students, and they love it. I will mimic their behaviors (how they act in class when they get upset at me and the things they say) and (because I am special ed my class is about 10-12 students) I do everyone. Then they will get up and do me. It is great we all have a nice laugh about each other and really enjoy the moments. It is amazing how spending so much time together they learn and memorize all my little sayings. |

No one has to let it go. If you want to let it go, you let it go and let other people do what they want to do. Worry about Danno. No one is calling his house or taking up a letter writing campaign.

I was pretty much traumatized by the huge scar that remains to today, not to mention hearing the doctors telling my parents while I was on the way to the operating room that there was probably a one in four chance of saving my leg. It took quite some time to forget that scar. I didn't even want to hear about it. Now, some 44 years later I accept it and everything about me with no reservations.
Then I was smacked again when I got the call from my doctor that the lab had found cancer. I hope to God that you never have to be smacked in that way. I mean that. So forgive me if I have an issue with people making fun of other's unwanted misfortunes. I would hope that as a special education teacher that you would have more sympathy and empathy than that. |

You're an old man so I am going to leave it alone, but you're an unrelenting ***** and I am not talking about me. I am talking about you attacking many people on this board. Worry about Larry.
