He's played well so far in the preseason. Would be nice to have him as a #3 to stash on the PS. We need a reliable backup and Chase knows the system. But in order to pluck him from the Cowboys practice squad, I think he'd have to be on the 53 man roster. Which means we'd have to either sign him and get rid of Chase or carry three QBs on the active roster. And with the defensive players we have, its gonna be tough to make cuts anyway.

That said, Payton did try this with that GB quarterback last year. Of course then injuries destroyed us and he had to be cut and didn't last 5 minutes before he was picked up again.

We do need to start looking for another QB to groom under Brees. One that's young and can be a solid #2 for a few seasons before Brees retires.. GG sure isn't that guy.
