I liked Victor, reminded me of former G'nats great RB Joe Morris and if we hadn't signed AP, he makes this roster... Lampmann was a late cut because Lampmann vs Lasco are even gunners, Lasco had better position performance than Lampman... Had Jake had more reps, and made the few he had count, I think Lasco was in deeper trouble... |
Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
According to NFL.com, the Broncos are going to cut Ward Saturday. Ward was entering the fourth year of his $22.5 million contract, but the team felt that Justin Simmons, a third-round pick in 2016, was ready to take over the role so they were comfortable parting ways with the veteran.
Broncos reportedly release safety T.J. Ward | NFL | Sporting News Just had to post it. We traded from the third to the second to get Bell and could have just taken Justin Simmons in the 3rd Had Simmons rated higher Bell in that draft. Just tooting my horn before the kid even starts LMAO. could end up eating crow Bell looks to Williams back up My short list round 2 on was Sean Davis Justin Simmons Deon Bush Mils Killebrew Darian Thompson Von Bell 2016 1 - Laremy Tunsil ROT Ole Miss 6050 310 2 - Jarran Reed, DT/DE, Alabama 6034 307 5.21 3 - Justin Simmons DB Boston College 6025 201 4.53 4 - Matt Judon, DE, Grand Valley State 6030 275 4.73 5 - DJ Reader NT Clemson 6025 327 5.33 7 - Kalan Reed CB Southern Miss, 5111 192 4.42 Round 1 Laremy Tunsil vs Sheldon Rankins is still developing Round 2 it was hard to argue with Michael Thomas pick though i did go with Jarran Reed almost took Sean Davis but thought he would last till the third. wrong again. Round 2 Justin Simmons vs Von Bell. Bell still has his rookie contract to prove me wrong, i hope he does. Simmons is getting his shot. David Onyemata vs Matt Judon is a fight one i am really enjoying watching. both are looking really good Stray thoughts Go sign Ward already. He has a dead cap of $1,250,000 already. I se the Pats going after him. They are all in for another ring |
Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
Totally agree, Hagan...Never like trading two picks for one, it rarely works for us and limits darts on the draft dart board...
And I want guys that can play, but we've got a little too much Buckeye for my liking, though I'd gladly keep Thomas, a steal... Let's just hope Lady Luck smiles on us with Lattimore and I'll be Golden... |
Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
second thought pass on TJ Ward and stick with youth movement and look to next years draft and save the cap space
Round 1 Ronnie Harrison, SS Alabama 6011 214 4.57 #15 Jr Round 2 Quin Blanding SS/FS Virginia 6011 205 4.58 #3 Jr Wild card Kyzir White SS/OLB West Virginia 6025 215 4.56 #8 Sr |
Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread

We still have Anthony don't we? I'd take Bighill over him and I like Anthony but it's all about making plays...

Bighill is more likely to clear and sign to our PS than Anthony. |
Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
Bighill is just a straght up football player. He should have made the roster. He made plays against the run and pass. I just don't get the Lasco love. He's not the RB Cadet is and he hasn't flashed on special teams enough to keep him around.
Anthony looks lost more than anything else. The difference between him and Teo', Klien, Robertson and Anzalone is staggering. Bighill was the 5th best LB in preseason. Not even close. That being said, I think he will make the PS. |
