eaglesmight be interested in howard

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It seems the Eagles are trying to make a deal for howard. The teams were on the phone for 45 minutes, then another 20 minutes. I have no idea what they are offering. They want to get the deal done ...

It seems the Eagles are trying to make a deal for howard. The teams were on the phone for 45 minutes, then another 20 minutes. I have no idea what they are offering. They want to get the deal done befor e the draft (Eagles).

My inside guy said it's sounding like draft picks only. They are keeping this one under the sheets he said. Never before has the office been so hush hush before he said.

One of the upper guys said the Eagles want to road block the Cow Girls. Plus Howard would be a upgrade for them.

We will have to wait and see.
they have a bunch of picks--link: from another forum...I'll try to confirm it. It could be complete crap.

if the eagles have interest they would be one of the easiest teams to deal with. some are compensatory that cannot be traded but they have #31, 35, 63, 77, 94, and 8 after that LOL. they look pretty deep at de to me tho.

i have said before NO #16 and #82 is an equal value trade for their #31 and 35 in this draft that i like. i think the eagels want more quality and less quantity of picks. so, my offer is howard AND #16 for #31, 35, 63, and 77. NO comes out a net 661 draft points higher which is equal to getting #28 in the 1st round. saints picks then are- #31, 35, 40, 63, 77, 82, 118, 152, 193, and 232. it\'s an out of the box approach but i think this draft in particular is a good one to have 6 picks from the end of the 1st round to the middle of the 3rd round. that could get-
*2 quality LBs among burnett, blackstock, boley, thurman, and ruud
*a QB to groom, i like walter but they would want athletic campbell
*#4-6 OT, terry, britt, or marcus johnson (g to ot)
*#7-9 CB (really deep) webster, browning, mcfadden, or perkins
*and one more wildcard pick, matt jones maybe if ya have that many

do i get the okay to do it?
