Nah...we definitely looked worse than the Patriots. Our offense was trash expect for a few plays from Lewis and that TD in garbage time. On defense, everything we worked on and saw in pre-season went out the window....coverage was pitiful and pressure on the QB was non existent. We barely made Bradford move except for on play actions.

In a week where we saw multiple defenses make outstanding plays....ours just came to the game....smh

To be fair, they looked really bad for 1 quarter (Pats were ahead 27-21 at the beginning of the 4th quarter), and while the KC-NE game may very well signal the beginning of the end for the Patriots as we know them, no one is saying "same old Pats". I think most everyone would be surprised if the Pats ended the season with less than 10 wins. No one would be surprised if the Saints ended 7-9.

PJ should have been on the outside . He is not and never has been good on the inside. Harris should be on the street.

I just don't understand how it's so easy for us to see that PJ should be outside with Sterling Moore at the nickel.
Rugby Saint II and K Major like this.

I blame the coaches here and the inability to make adjustments. Harris should not have been allowed back on the field after the first TD. Poor game plan lack of effort on the players. If Payton (Mickey Loomis) and Brees are here next year I am going to be a Pittsburg fan from here on out.

Worst part: "We may have lost the game but you'll be feeling pretty good tomorrow"

Same 'ol Saints, different day. No pass rush. Bad coverage. Giving up big plays. Poor clock management. Forcing the ball to one player (Kamara). Ridiculous sub patterns on offense. Ingram can run, catch and block. He needs to be on the field until he raises his hand. Too much zone. Attack on defense. Try to win instead of trying not to lose.

I was disappointed by the lack of aggressiveness on offense. Yes, losing Strief had a lot to do with that. The defense didn't play with the same intensity that they showed in the preseason. That can be addressed. We need Armstead back soon.

Looks like I have to adjust my projected record to 15-1.
