I don't think it matters who the defense coordinator is. The common denominator appears to be Sean Payton's philosophy, whatever that may be. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea for Payton to sit back and play the role of motivator/cheerleader, and let Pete Carmichael have 100 percent control of the offense, and Dennis Allen 100 percent control of the defense, and let's see what happens. Obviously something is not right and hasn't been for years.

As much as I agree with you, Payton is far too big headed and full of himself to take a back seat when it's obvious he's the problem.

We all know Pete Carmichael is a better OC than Payton and it now seems Payton gets too involved with defense, which is nowhere near his strong suit.

Granted I'm not any kind of an authority in the subject, but I don't agree.

I was not impressed when he took over for SP.
