Re: Some positives

1. With a bye in week five, in week six a team could have a worse record than us.

2. Made two cities happy so far.

You joke, but I share a very special bond with my dad because of just this. To this day, he and I kid about how much better our deer hunting will be, because of the Saints' poor play. We spend a lot more time in the woods as a result, and I am fine with listening to them on 870 (Jim, Hokey & now Deuce).

So that is a significant positive right there!!

Lattimore is going to be great for us.

In week 1 he allowed a catch but then picked up and slammed Theilen to the ground.

I loved seeing him break on the ball and knock down the pass to cooks, the guy could be a superstar, but he needs help, especially from the D line.

I'm very disappointed with Rankins so far, thought he was going to be great.

Truthfully it wasn't actually THAT bad after the bloodbath of the first quarter. But when you're 20 points behind the whole day, it's pretty pointless. There were a couple of drives where if the defense had actually stopped them, it might have almost been a ballgame.... but not quite. By the time the Patriots took their foot off the gas and half of their major stars had gone out with injuries, or were resting, with Brady handing off to grind the clock, the teams looked to be pretty even in a lot of ways. I think if it was preseason we could have beaten them!

Ranking needs to be paired up with a double team space eater. That is his glaring weakness and always has been. Nick being off the field exposes him big time.

Re: Some positives

Brees, with a patchwork line, zero running game, zero defense, subpar receiving, and getting shellacked 2-3 times a game, still looks like a Master. At his worst, which was vs. Minn, he was average.

Im astounded by the people who say its time to move him. 26 teams WISH they had a guy as good as Brees on his worst day. The Texans fans would build a temple for Brees, if we ever traded to them.

Imagine a girl with a below average face, dumpy shape, mousy personality, but a great big pair of enormous boobs. People who say we should move Brees would also advise that girl to get a breast reduction. BREES IS ALL WE GOT, at this point. Lets dont be stupid. :dunce:

I agree 100%. I am to the point of being tired of Payton and I am ready to make a change. But I don't think Brees needs to go anywhere just because he has trade value. In case people haven't noticed, there are not any good qb's just hanging around waiting to be taken. The Texans, Jags, 49ers, Browns, Jets and Miami would give up whatever it took to get him. Lets not get rid of one of our only star players. That is crazy IMO.
