Re: Saints team grading after first 3 weeks of the season
Klein grading out with a 35 is surprising. I had assumed he'd be our greatest addition to the LB corps, but Anazalone has flashed all the signs of a rising star.
Marshon Lattimore is our best defensive back. There's no doubt about it. We better go Lattimore/Williams/Crawley on nickel packages from here on out. When Armstead comes back I'm putting him at LT and keeping Ramcyzk on the opposite end. Strief has been good, but Ram has shown he's ready for the job. As far as Peat, I'm not feeling him. If there's any chance we can move a piece for a true LG I'm relegating the former 13th overall pick to back up LT duties. With Snead coming back I expect to see a boost in our offense. He's a route runner, and that's something we've sorely missed with him being out. Expect more 3rd down conversions through the air. |

Re: Saints team grading after first 3 weeks of the season
I don't see it the same way they do on several players. My eyes tell me that some players grade out differently, of course I'm not a paid professional.
It is eye opening for a few players like Unger for example. |

Re: Saints team grading after first 3 weeks of the season
Which player; Anzalone or Klein?
Klein is second on the team with 11 solo tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 forced fumble Anzalone is fifth on the team with 10 solo tackles, 1 sack, and 1 pass defended Those two are showing some of the best Linebacker play that we have seen in a long while... |

Re: Saints team grading after first 3 weeks of the season
If your looking for Klien to be a stand out coverage LB you have to give him time. This is the part of his game that is still coming around. The development as coverage LB was hurt the most by being a back up. What he does well is being in the right place to stop the YAC. He has flashed great skills but only flashes so far. I am expecting this part of his game to improve quickly.
I am looking forward to 2019. His second year as a starter. I still think MLB is the best position for him. We need a true SLB to allow the shift though. |

Re: Saints team grading after first 3 weeks of the season
Klein has performed pretty solid to me. The PFF grades does not match what I've seen on the field the last 3 weeks. There are issues on defense but the current roster looks promising at LB... specifically Klein.

I trust my eyes more than stats when your talking about a unit with so many new faces and some key players out with injury
Nick Fairley and Delvin Breaux being out has a huge impact on the unit |

I must ask how seriously to take an organization named after a silent fart?
