I never understood that gripe. Yea it was predictable, but it worked. Why fix something that ain't broke. We always scored enough and gained enough yardage to beat every team we played. The problem was defense. People just got bored seeing it. Other teams still rarely stopped it. |

The screen to Michael Thomas was very encouraging. Had we thrown it to Ginn or Tommylee it would have been more predictable what we were doing. But changing it up and giving Thomas that play totally caught the D off guard and helped get us the first down. This is the kind of variation we need in our offense.

I thought the QB sneak on 4th down showed a bit of recent history pattern breaking. Seems to me that Payton would have backed off the gas previously and put the game back on the D.
