If we beat the Lions we will be a legit competitive football team. That really anyone can ask of a team. As long as they are competitive there is something to be positive about. Staring at 0-2 or 04 is not.

I'm excited for our future but I admit I'm still on the fence. Beating Detroit, for me, would be huge.

Nice turn of events but the teams we played recently are the biggest contribution. Pull it off against a couple of more stable teams then that would be something.

Offense: They have better depth all around especially on the OL. It always starts in the trenches. Still need to add a young buck or two worth grooming.

Defense: vets like Klien keeping heads screwed on straight. That was missing last year. The same thing happened when Williams started making his moves at LB.

Talk the talk and walk the walk is what players respond to.

A huge step forward.

I want to see a good showing against Detroit before I can get energized. If the Lions bring their A-game and we lose a close one I can live with it. But if the problems from weeks 1 and 2 emerge and we get blown out the same concerns will resurface again.

At this level, it's about match ups. This will be a difficult game no doubt but I like our chances to win this one as opposed to say .. the Vikings. Brees had one of his worst performances vs Detroit last year so expect him to play well.

At one time not long ago, playing the Saints in the dome was a L regardless of who it was. It's time to bring the home field advantage back.

Since wins in the superdome are rare it will welcomed sight to do it to the Lions.

Completely agree, I've got no problems if we are competitive but get beaten by a better team. But if we play with no fire like vs NE then we are in trouble.

We are facing some very good QB's in the next few weeks.
