I guess it was a good idea in a way to sign Peterson. We basically got a draft pick for signing someone for 4 games.

That's a good point, and I wonder if that was the motivation behind it all along. Sign him just to use him as trade bait when injuries pile up around the league.

"Conditional" means we should be pulling for him to do well.

good move all around- we def needed the roster spot with our injuries, and now we are more likely to gamble a draft pick on an LB or O-lineman before the draft deadline

Not really. We signed AP before the draft and got surprised Kamara was available and made the move up. Ironically the Vikings did the same thing - signed Latavious Murray then moved up for Dalvin Cook. Unfortunately for the Vikings Cook is hurt so now they really need Murray. Funny how things go.

They have no confidence in Chris Johnson. I still don't see him getting that many carries but certainly more than here. Very interesting. We would have got nothing for him but now we have options. Maybe bundle that pick next year for a better prize.

and since we gave up a 7th (plus the 2nd he was valued at) for Kamara, and are likely to get a 7th for AP, it means we got AK this year for a second next year. Good deal

Just hope this doesn't come back and bite us in the back. But at least they traded AP to a team that we won't be playing this season.

And we do this before playing a team who has shut our offense down and the one player who has been the difference maker in the matchups with the vikings(they are 0-6 against Detroit without AP). If Kamara struggles against Detroit and the bye week hasn't helped, well I'm afraid the defense is gonna be forced to do a lot against a QB coming off a bad week.

A lot of different factors go into these things Will. For starters, what AP did against the Lions with Minnesota had no bearing whatsoever on our matchup with Detroit. There's also a chance that Stafford won't be playing.

I was really high on our signing AP. Lots of upside without that much risk. Turned out not to work, so we made the best out of a bad situation and turned it into a positive. I've got nothing against AP and I hope he does well in AZ, but without his speed burst what does he have? Strength, yeah, but not vision. He's going to run full speed into a pile and get 2-4 yards at best. Is that any better than Cadet (or fill in your average back name)

I viewed it as insurance when Ingram inevitably misses 2 games. The drafting and subsequent rise of Kamara made him expendable. Guess we call up the little bowling ball from the PS now?

Never really saw how AP was going to work in the SP offense. Kind of a square peg round hole thing.

From my FA shopping list we could have and should have (horse shoes and hand grandees)

My #1 off season target at RB that fit SP like a glove was and probably will be again in 2019

I thought he might have broke a big one or two by now. Just not the same player. The explosion is not there. Nothing wrong with that either. MI won't be playing at that age that's for sure.
