I'm not so sure about that one. Breaux needs to work himself back slowly . The guy hasn't been healthy in several seasons. No way I'm changing what's been working over the last three weeks. At best, DB will add depth at the position.

No sense in rocking the boat.

According to these snap counts Williams, Vaccaro and Bell never really came off the field.

Marcus yes, PJ no

I haven't seen our secondary play with this kind of swagger in 8 years. PJ Williams and Delvin Breaux can compete for reps in dime, but this is our starting secondary:

I don't know where PJ was, but Crawley has been balling, and Lattimore looked like Rod Woodson (the Steelers version) last Sunday. No one is taking their places.

As for Breaux, I get the sentiment, but he ain't cracking this starting lineup, he may not even be activated this year.

I do understand having the Big Nickle 3 safety set as the base package. But there have been some exploits of it especially with Vaccaro. Guys in the inside slot and matchups with pass catching TE are always an adventure with Vaccaro covering.

We have at least 4 CB that are outside cover guys (Lattimore, Crawley, Williams, Breaux). But who's job is it to cover the Welker, Edelman, Golden Tate, and yes the upcoming Randall Cobb type inside slot receivers on bunches and crossing patterns? Asking Vaccaro to do it is a crime against nature.

The thing I don’t like about Breaux is he isn’t a smooth player. He’s physical, but getting in and out of cuts he always looks stiff and clunky. He just lacks the swag of a Lattimore, Crawley, or even Williams. I hope to see PJ redeem himself and play the slot.

I was thinking the same thing about Vaccaro, I've seen him get roasted on a few of those slot plays and I can't help but wonder if PJ would have better speed to stick with them

It's funny how Crawley was considered last on the depth starting the season and now he surpass the 2 starters (Williams & Harris) of week 2.
