We gave up 180 ish yards rushing.
We only gave up 40ish in the 2nd half. We are well coached, and it showed today. It was an AMAZING win from that perspective. |

Re: What we learned from Saints' 26-17 win at Green Bay
Random thoughts caused from alcohol toxicity:
I don't think we'd be torched again by Brady and Bradford if we played them a second time. I think we had some significant coverage confusion in the early part of the season and Allen has cleaned it up rather nicely. We shut out a pretty good Dolphins team who is looking like one of the better teams in the AFC right now. One of the most impressive things about this team right now is that we are looking good on the road. Think this has a lot to do with the emergence of Kamara as a part of our great RB tandem, as well as a solid defense. Even in our best years we are usually much better at the dome than on the road. I'm not convinced that will be the case this season, as I think we have a team that is built to win anywhere. The rest of the NFC south is looking quite vulnerable and I'm think we have a pretty decent shot at a first round bye. I think we've looked the best thus far out of all the NFC south teams. The falcons/patriots game tonight will really give us a good indication of what the division looks like.. must watch game imo. |

Agreed with the above post.
Saints are playing just about as well as any team in the NFL right now. There isn't a team on the schedule that we wouldn't have a bona fide chance of winning. |

Re: What we learned from Saints' 26-17 win at Green Bay
I understand being cautious with the optimism. God knows I've been convinced every year that we had corrected the mistakes of the previous year and we'd be good again. This team looks a lot different though. This team has shown that it can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. That mentality was totally absent the last few years and it's hard to shake the PTSD that causes. I felt that old familiar sinking feeling after Hundley ran for that TD, but instead of going limp in the face of adversity they dug in and came back swinging. There is fight in this team again. There is talent on defense that hasn't been there in over a decade and they're playing better together all the time. The offense seems to be finding it's stride and we have a running game again. They've officially made a believer out of me and I will go ahead and put it out for all to see, for better or worse.. This team is for real, the defense is for real and we're gonna make the playoffs.

Re: What we learned from Saints' 26-17 win at Green Bay
Today a game was played. A game filled with good moments and bad moments, but ultimately overcoming the bad to come out with a W IN LAMBEAU w/ inadequate weather. Cool, regardless that doesn't ERASE the potentially costly mistakes that were made. If a poster wants to talk about bad moments that WERE apart of THE GAME then so be it because at the end of the day those mistakes HAVE to be fixed in order for the Saints to play good football and make a Real run in the playoffs IF they get there. Good comeback win on the road, but the Saints still have work that needs to be done before I personally take them as a serious playoff contender. The potential is there, but its just that right now...potential. It does matter how you win and how you lose. Take the good w/ the bad because they go hand & hand.
