Here's the elephant in the room. If Brees continues to play like he has in the past 3 quarters it may be time to put Chase Daniel in...,,
It's obvious Brees had lost a step. He can't get downfield more than 20 yards and his accuracy is starting to go.

You obviously forgot the SARC flag...

:rofl::roflmao:

Boy you've got your blind hate going today!

Can't handle the success, huh?

And what about that bet that you said you would take with you guaranteeing Brees would be on another NFL roster beginning the 2018 season?

Huh?

You are the only elephant in this room.

They have their guy, we have ours. Both make every player on the field better. Both have turned has-beens into stars.

With a better defense, Brees' numbers would be much lower, and maybe the rings would be doubled.

I've also felt Brees was more stat-driven. I know Payton ultimately decides who is on the field, but I look at some of the blowouts when Brees was still in. Two I remember are when we were beating the Colts by 50, and the Sun/Mon night game when we were killing Atl, but Brees was still out there throwing.

He's not being sarcastic. He actually believes this. He was claiming that Brees has lost his accuracy in a thread last week.

Well, after this week Brees RAISED his passing percentage from 68.1% to 69.1%, which is fourth (4th) in the league and two percentage points above his lifetime percentage that is, by the way, the highest in NFL history. He is also ranked fourth (4th) in the NFL for passes completed over 20 yards.

They were executing their offense. Nothing wrong with that. I wish they would do it more rather than become conservative. Payton learned that from Parcells.

I'm all for that AG, as we have certainly pissed away enough games because we can't sweep the leg.

But I'm talking about being up 55-7 in the 4th and your franchise QB is on the field. or being up 30 points with 3 minutes to go against a hated rival just looking to hit someone, and the $25 million man is throwing a touchdown to Sproles?

Both are elite, but I don't recall Brady making nearly as many bonehead interceptions as Drew.

Brady - 471 TD's and 154 ints
Brees - 476 TD's and 224 ints

Brees has 70 more turnovers than Brady does, you could attribute some to the fact he hasn't had a defense for god knows how long, but the Green Bay game showed us something and that's that Brees refuses to be a game manager, often at the expense of a FG because he forces too many passes.

Ultimately, management wasted several years of Brees being at the top of his game, it pains me to say it, but Brady is the more reliable QB mainly due to turnover numbers.

Brady is more reliable because he has played his entire career in a dumpster fire division; I guarantee you that if Brady had played in any NFC division he would not have near the success that he does now.

That's how we would see it as a fan. To the teams it is just another game finish.
