Nick has pegged with a heart issue draft day. So so good so lets do it I guess was the attitude. Medical before signing might have been wise in hind sight

Ram fell to the Saints because of injury. Kamara was all Payton. Klien was a backup who got paid starter money. Warford was paid top dollar. Teo' needed a new home after injuries and under producing. Lutz was a present from Harbaugh. Putting aside the heart issue, I didn't think Fairly was worthy of the money he got paid to begin with. Any way you look at Anzalone, right now it was a miss. The whole availability thing. Ginn was a good pick up. Williams was steal at safety. Hendrickson was a good pick. And Muhammad has shown promise. Lots going on. Not all good. Not all Ireland.

I agree

Ginn was a good pick up.

I am amazed at his play the past few games and I hate jinx him by saying he has not had any drops

Brandon Coleman I will add to this group. Lining him up in the slot is brutal on defenses. He appears ready battle for more playing time.

Hagan,
Glad you touched on this ... I re watched the Packer game. Remember the wheel route to TG Jr where he ran for 30+? Replay (Charles Davis mentioned it too) showed Brandon clamping down on his man that created the running lane. Or the last play of the 3rd quarter where Kamara received the hand off & found a seam outside the tackle created by Brandon. End result was 13+ yards and could have been more if he hadn't slipped on the wet grass.

It won't appear on the stat sheets but Brandon Coleman has played really well this year. He is a hell of a down field blocker.

They did do a physical before signing. That has been confirmed. It was a new issue which can arise at any time with persons having underlying heart concerns. It was simply bad timing.

Losing out on Zeitler, we're forced to overpay for Warford because of those two being the onlyacceptable options on the market in a high-priority position for us...

...not vetting Nick Fairley's heart condition and rushing to extend him also took other options off the table for us this season...

...maybe the Payton/Loomis learned as attested by the Jon Dorenbos retracted trade (and saving of his life)...

...and then the Adrian Peterson signing which was at first excited because it signaled a commitment to run, but was reminded this is Sean Payton's team...

...with the Peterson money slot we could've signed, upgraded, or add'l linebacker and/or interior offensive lineman...

But none of the big albatross contracts like that of Byrd...

Something tells me that Payton is listening to what other coaches/executives say more than ever this year. I don't know if someone came down on his m or if he finally set his ego aside. In any regard it doesn't seem like the same old Payton show. Big difference in half time adjustments alone.

It's not a turnaround until we go 10-6
