this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; DRAFT WHISPERS: The club is trying to deal RE Darren Howard for a high draft pick. If it can, it would have an extra pick to use on the defense and more ammunition for a possible draft-day trade. The Saints ...

I kinda hope they don't though-i'm thinking davis and a top lineback ie> burnett, ruud, croweder or thurman could possible fill multiple holes rather than just one-but you could get an elite linebacker with DJ... I don't think that cambell or Macpherson will be there after round three--so I don't think we'll get them. But I think Greene could be a really , really good addition to our team. at worst he will be a good backup, at best he will push brooks.... and the scouts love him...but either of the three have their pros and cons. |

yup, why mention campbell or macpherson if you are talking 2nd day. greene maybe not even available then. he could be though. i\'ve never been impressed by his skills but ya cannot deny the strong intangibles.
A quality backup if not real competition is needed behind AB. If Brooks goes down for a sustained period this year with Bouman as da man then we could be in the Matt Leinart sweepstakes this time next year. |

I think that le flors is more likely-and from what i\'ve read-not seen--if he weree 4 inches taller he\'d be the first pick in the draft (kiper, mortenson)....
another and one I\'d really like to get is fitzgerald. |

From what I saw at the combine, he seemed the most comfortable receiver during drills, especially the pass catching drills. He stood out to me, with how fluid he was.

Roddy White. I hope he somehow falls into the 3rd, although I highly doubt it.

I\'ve also heard some good things about that receiver from Purdue, although I have forgotten his name. Taylor Stubblefield maybe? But definitely 5th round or lower for him. He is only 5\'11:.

don\'t forget about bragg from UCLA, I think..I heard an interview with him the other night, pretty impressive. there are quite a few receivers that could end up having better careers than some of the guys taken in the first.
