I like the kid. He reminds me of Drew when he was in college. They are so much alike it is scary

Drew is the perfect match to mentor this kid.

Just not sure a QB at his age with Drew likely to sign for multiple years

I would be surprised with a multi-year deal. Brees has said he wants to go year by year from here on out.

This is from an interview this past January ...

“Listen, so I signed a one-year extension, so that was this year and then next year,” Brees said in January. “And so I plan on playing that out and just allowing things to take form and take shape here for next year and putting forth my absolute best effort to help us win a division championship and then a world championship. And then, again, just one year at a time, and that’s not a lack of commitment or anything like that. It’s just, I just want to focus on what’s right in front of me.”

Later in the month of January, G.M. Mickey Loomis said the team is fine with that approach.

Tom Condon, Brees' agent, also worked out annual deals following the season for Peyton Manning.

Yes to Baker Mayfield.

He's accurate, tough as nails & plays with a chip on his shoulder. IMO he "fits" in SP style of offense. If the Saints are picking @ 32, he'll be long gone.
