I also hope all the players I mentioned get better deals.... when their previous deals expire. I think Horn\'s actions will lead to chaos. Everyone will say. \" But, you gave Joe a new deal every year.\" |

Horn isn\'t gonna sit out the season. M&M just may. Then we\'ll see just how valuable he is. That\'s why I think M&M should be dealt with first. Horn knows he\'ll still get his, as he does every year.
Just because you agree that Horn should get a new deal every year, dosen\'t mean it\'s the smartest move. Someone out of the 125 + hits may agree with me, but simply aren\'t going to say. |

Zulu King, I feel ya. Don\'t get frustrated man. I will take middle ground on this one though. Horn was in the last year of his contract so it was in our best interest to get something done with him first. If I understand correctly, his deal actually helped to lower our cap # so it was smart as well. As far as I knew, MM came here with the understanding he was gonna get a new deal. He deserves it, and I think we all feel he deserves it cause he is prob the best corner we have ever had(and that says as much for him as it says for Joe being the best receiver we ever had, etc. etc,). But at no point did the Saints say he wasn\'t gonna get a new deal, just not at this time. We still have to trade Howard, sign picks, sign Deuce and LeCharles. MM will get his. Nothing wrong with him being a little patient though. I definitely understand what you\'re saying, but Hollywood knows this is his last deal, and so we have no more worries of him asking for a new deal again. He is done. Closed book. Now we can concentrate on moving Howard and doing everyone else\'s deal.

I\'m skeptical too, but if he pulls this crap again, adios Joe. C-ya. Noone can argue that would be enough. Well, I forgot where I was. Some will.

To be honest when i said 5 or 6 games i was just counting the games he did\'nt look like a chump. And to be honest again a few of them int\'s he got was very bad thrown balls, caused by our DE\'s. But i aint gonna hate on him, He was a reason our D turned it around last year. But throwing a fit now would not be good, he should know our situation and that he would get a new contract after DH is delt with. Holding out and crying about it now is only gonna piss the FO off and make this all a big deal.

How many of those badly thrown balls did we watch bounce off the face of TBuck & Co?. Every pick isn\'t some brilliant premonition of the QBs intentions. Some are merely taking advantage of an opportunity. M&M does both.
How do we know what \"At this time\" means? That\'s on the FO for not being more clear about their intentions. A simple \"Let the dust settle, and we\'ll do our best to accomodate you.\" would\'ve worked wonders. |

Hey man, I dont want to put him down, cause i like him. (hopefully they will get something done and he will be our star CB for years) But, him already starting dont look good. I did\'nt see that they told him that \"at this time\" untill i done read he was skiping and might hold out and all that.
So he prob all ready pissed the FO off. And if he might hold out, then maybe we should draft a CB in the first. (good thing he let us know before the draft). |

I totally agree with you Zulu, MM took advantage of some bad throws and also displayed great anticipation. He had a great half season. I don\'t think anybody is arguing that. I think we should just hold up for a while and see what develops. MM will get his just like he deserves.
But Joe Horn still deserves it more |
