Re: What we learned from Saints' comeback win against the Redskins
What I learned:
1. This team has a lot of heart. They could have just rolled over and died but they didn't. Great team win and it'll go a long ways to build character. 2. We have a very good football team that is capable of winning the Super Bowl. We are still lacking a few important pieces though that will be necessary in order for us to reach our peak imo. Finding a great pass rusher needs to be the top priority in the off-season. 3. Marshon Lattimore is incredibly important for this defense. I think he may be even more important than Cam Jordan. 4. Our run game is amazing. We have a good passing offense, but the bread and butter of our offense is definitely our run. I think we made a huge mistake in this game, which is one of the reasons we almost lost. We got behind, and as a result we abandoned the running game. We should have stuck to what has been working all year long. I think we sorta panicked in play-calling. Hopefully Payton realizes that when he reviews the film. |
