Re: Seattle Seahawks cut pass rusher Dwight Freeney

I am nervous about the DE rotation

Cameron Jordan
Trey Hendrickson
Hau'oli Kikaha
Al-Quadin Muhammad
Zach Wood

but maybe not nervous enough.

bit long in tooth and he might get some fire in the belly to chase a ring.

It is actually the other way around. Three sacks in four games. No other tackles. One pass defended. He is probably the Seahawks Adam Bighill. Designated "cuttee" when roster moves are required. At this point of the year who has a totally open roster spot to use to take a chance?

Probably no one. I'm simply stating Dwight will help a team, but it probably won't be the Saints. We need a run defender to replace Okafor more than anything. Not just a rotational pass rush guy. Mohammad and Kikaha need those snaps.

Need a DE who can set the edge and collapse a pocket. It’s looking like the young guns are current best option

And we still have Ony who backed up Cam Jordan last season - If anything, I'd like to have another Defensive Tackle...

Justin Zimmer has been ripping in the CFL, getting reps, experience; I'd correct DA's mistake of letting him geaux...
