On To Carolina

This might be a 'must win' game? We're back in the catbird seat with a win.

And I sure want to hurt wittle cammie's feelings in this game. I love to watch him pout...

Well ...

I watched a bit of the Jets/Panthers game & it appears that they rushed Greg Olsen (good news for Kenny V) back into the starting lineup & the turf monster got Funchess (good news for _ cornerback). Now I'm reading Fig Newton with "thumb" issues. Maybe that explains why his passes were off the mark? Jets lost a very winnable game. Fumbles and BAD special teams = L.

Thomas Davis left the game with either a quad or hamstring. I may have missed it but I didn't see him return.

It's time to capitalize on those wounded Kittens.

There was a segment on one of the shows that went on about how horrible his throws were against the Jets. Lets hope for more of the same.

If Funchess and Olsen are out it really does not get much better than that scenario for our secondary. I imagine Cam will be doing much running as well if he is injured.

The ONLY reason why he has a respectable QBR Index is because he can throw the ball downfield a country mile and his receivers can make plays on the chucks...

He's never been an accurate passer...

I'm still praying that we have one or both in Crawley/Lattimore back... That would make this game so much easier...

If he's not injured we oughta make it so...

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton on Sunday shrugged off the impact of a thumb injury on his throwing hand and how it impacted his accuracy in a 35-27 victory over the New York Jets.

But coach Ron Rivera reiterated Monday that the injury that landed Newton on the injury report for two days last week could have been a factor in his quarterback completing a season-low 39.3 percent of his passes.

“That’s possibly why a few of the balls sailed on him," Rivera said of Newton, who completed 11 of 28 pass attempts for 168 yards.

Rivera said the thumb is getting better, and he didn’t express concern it would be a factor heading into Sunday’s showdown at 8-3 New Orleans for first place in the NFC South.

Panthers injury updates: Greg Olsen’s foot, Cam Newton’s thumb | Panthers Wire

I think they are exaggerating on Olsen's status. The man isn't healthy and it showed last week.
KennyV needs to capitalize.

Scam is trash and always has been. His best play has been trying to out run the defensive line only to be tackled by the safeties after a 6 yard gain. Man I hope he retires a panther.

early line is we are favored by 4, but the the telling number is the O/U, which is 48. Means that those in the know expect points, which is a good sign for us

All games are must win games until you lock home field advantage in the playoffs.

I think I give him more credit then you are willing.
He is a GOOD athlete.
What he isnt is a great Qb

He is an absolute jackass, whiny little 12 year old girl as a person.

Would love to see us slaughter this team & I mean slaughter... 42 - 3 or something like that!! :broccoli:

Keep Fig Newton inside the pocket. He can do damage once he takes off running.

We're going to win this week. We will have the division lead. The difference between these 2 teams will be very apparent come Sunday. And, when we play them again in the playoffs we're going to beat them again.

I expect to see a lot of read options from the Panthers. Hendrickson will be tested that is for sure.

If not a must win very close. Lose and we might have to win out. Tough matchup. Really hope Lattimore can play. Really need to Hendrickson and Kikaha to pick up Okafors play. They seem capable. We need Snead or Tommylee Lewis or Ginn to step up bad. WhoDat!

Doesn't look like Lattimore will play and to make matters worse, PJ williams was not at practice

Agreed. We stop the run we win. That's my take anyway.

I get these feelings sometimes. I remember in 2009 sitting down at dinner and telling some folks we were going to destroy the Cardinals and win the Super Bowl. I also had it last week that we would lose to the Rams but I ain't putting that on here. I'll just say when I feel the wins.

Winning this game confirms to me we have turned the corner. The scoreline flattered the Panthers. We are much better than them. All we need now as a Falcons sweep and it is almost a perfect season. I am loving this season so much.

Re: On To Carolina

Still need to clean some things up, almost let them back in the game.
4th Quarter
Panthers convert and get to their 40-yard line
Carolina gets into Saints territory
Panthers get into the red zone on a PI penalty on P.J. Williams
Panthers go for it on 4th-and-6 at the Saints 12-yard line and fail to convert
**Saints go three-and-out on terrible play-calling trying to pass the ball
Saints get bailed out by a forced fumble by Chris Banjo on the punt return
