You've posted elsewhere that you have no faith in Payton utilizing the running game. The rushing attack has accounted for 46% of the offense so far. In Buffalo, the Saints had 48 rush attempts, including a stretch of 24 rushes in a row. When the chips were down in the Washington game in overtime, two rushes for 51 yards ended the game. Is it not unrealistic to expect to rush the ball when the team is behind by 14 in the second half? But isn't equally unlikely that the Saints will end the season on a 6 game losing streak throwing the ball 80% of the time as is Guido's expectation of winning the SB on a 8 or 9 game winning streak? My expectations down the stretch is that the Saints will win their three remaining home games along with winning in Tampa. And that they will continue running the ball at about a 40% clip. In an ideal situation, stealing a win in Mercedes Benz North would be icing on the cake. But as long as the Saints are limited to 1 division loss in the remaining 4 division games, we'll have a seat at the table for the playoff run. But again, detail the list of issues, then discuss what can be done to resolve them. I really cannot understand why you think the Saints are going to tank down the stretch. Thanks, SFIAH |

Re: Remaining games... Predictions for the NFC South
WORST CASE a split with Carolina and Atlanta to finish 11-5.
But I think we beat Carolina in normal fashion (by 3-4 points with it close all the way). At ATL will be the tough one on a short week, but they may be sore if they get in a slugfest this weekend. So if the breaks go our way we're 13-3, if they go against us 11-5. |
