Re: Lattimore DNP Today

However, when speaking after practice, it's clear that Crawley's oblique strain, which the team is listing as an abdomen injury, is still bothering him.
Saints' Ken Crawley: 'It looks like I'm going to go this week' | NOLA.com

As a general rule, grade one Side Strains should be rested from bowling and throwing activities for about 3 weeks, and grade two Side Strains for about 4 to 6 weeks. In the case of a complete rupture the Internal Oblique or External Oblique muscles the rehabilitation afterwards will take about 2-3 months.

Actually I question if Crawley should be out there. I want him to play but a oblique strain take 3 weeks at the minimum to recover from. The saints need them both badly but I'll hate for us to lose one or both before the Atlanta's games

The offense can win this game. It will take the offense, defense, and special teams to beat Atlanta. You don't want to send Lattimore out and have him miss both games and possibly beyond.

Re: Lattimore DNP Today

The issue is we have no depth. Williams is a average CB at best, he got best multiple times last week. Moore is our best option. Harris needs to be cooking burgers or something, the guy is awful and no NFL CB.

The good thing is that we are playing Cam, so if you cover the deep ball you don’t have any other worries. What’s more important this week is a solid pass rush. Shake cam early with pressure and he’ll break.

I would let Cam try to beat us without or two best CB out there

If Atlanta loses Sunday to the vikes, I would play it by ear for Thursday

This is somewhat worrisome with our staff. Despite better drafting and FA pickups, it seems our defensive coaches still struggle with identifying the best talent. Leading up to camp, I was shocked that Arthur Maulet didn't make the team and that Crawley (had a very impressive t/c) wasn't starting . Even more shocked that Harris was. I had no reason to believe he was one of our top 4 CBs, much less the starter.

Puzzling for me to .

Yea, I think Carolina is beatable without Lattimore in there. I think it'd be horrible situation against the Falcons just because of Julio Jones.

The thing is, the Carolina game may be the most important game we have left on the schedule.

I have a bad feeling heading into this final stretch.

We either play the CB's even though it sounds as though Crawley isn't even close to being healthy and risk losing him altogether, or we sit them and risk losing a few games or possibly missing out on the playoffs altogether.

True but circle back to the earlier game vs Carolina... we had Alex Okafor setting the edge/batting balls, creating pressure. Basically balling out of control. That's major production now gone.
