Defensive coaching
I think it is very noticeable how well the defense adjusts once they get in there and lose a couple battles. After the first series or two It seems like several times this season I found myself saying “looks like it’s going to be a long day for the defense” only for them to turn around and for the most part fix the problem. Haven’t seen this in the Payton era.
Offense does the same at times but Payton still sometimes forces things that aren’t working. I usually feel pretty good coming out of half time as I see a lot of adjustments. Our coaching changes are evident and I think Payton is growing as a coach. |
