Who should we take?
Did you all see last night on playbook when they showed some highlights of DJ? They was talking about him getting beat at the point of the attack. They showed some highlights were this 207 lb guy just plum ran over him. (lol) Man everyone talks about moving up and getting him, If a 207 pounder can run him over (and they said he's been that way for the past 4 years) he'll be hurting in the nfl. For that reason i dont see us moving up and getting him. As far as OT, I think they still beleive in Gandy, and RT is still a need, But I dont think we will get one in the 1st. RT and/or LT will come in a later round im thinking. So im thinking either a DT, (we cant ignore the fact the middle of our D-line sucks), TDavis, or a BPA if someone awsome falls to us. (That TE from VA is a possibility to, it make's since to take the best TE being we have'nt had a good TE since this coaching staff has been here.) What do you guys think?

DT is a need but there are no DTs deserving of the first round pick, plain and simple. If you don\'t believe in picking DJ in the first round, how can you justify picking Thomas Davis instead??? When the need for LB is as dire as it is for us, we need to at least shoot for the cream of the crop. If they don\'t trade up for DJ, they can get a pretty talented LB in the second, who is on the same level as a Thomas Davis. My pick would be Channing Crowder. TE is out of the question though. Not only is there not a TE worthy of the 16 spot, but it\'s not a need area for us. |

O ok, I dont know alot about him, just what ive seen on here, and tv and all. I just dont think we should do nothing stupid to get him. With us having so many young LB\'s already, and can prob pick up TD where were at or a pretty good one in the 2nd. We may even add a vet after the draft to guide these youngster\'s (could be draft or who knows who will be availble after june 1st) And call me crazy but i think our LB\'s are\'nt that bad. All they need is the DT position to stop the run some. And we can\'t keep ignoreing that our TE\'s suck and have for years. They will prob give Boo another chance tho. (even tho beside\'s one half a year he has sucked it up)

We need to draft superior talent to overcome mediocre coaching and scheme. That\'s why the Saints BPA drafting often pays dividends. But you could see with Deuce last year how poor coaching and scheme can slow down the talent. We cannot afford to draft someone who can be coached into being the next Lawerence Taylor, an undeniable force on the football field. We need to draft the next Lawrence Taylor. Or as close as we can get. Thomas Davis from Georgia in a LB position may fit that bill. SFIAH |

DJ getting ran over isn\'t anything special. I\'ve seen Urlacher etc get trucked by smaller RBs. It happens to everyone. His point of attack techniques can be modified in camp
Jordan was dunked on, or had his shot rejected on occasion. I don\'t have any faith in our DTs, or LBs. So happens that the draft offers us a better chance of getting a stud LB than a DT, so let\'s take it. We\'ll also get a speedy young CB, as the draft is deep with them |
