Referees and Falcons beat Saints 20-17 in first of two
In one of the most one-sided games you’ll see this year as far as officiating goes, the Saints fall to the Falcons 20-17 on the road in first of two of the series.
11 Saints penalties to four for the Falcons is pretty much all you need to know about the Saints’ Thursday night 20-17 loss to the Falcons. It’s not considered good manners to complain about officiating but this game was a joke. The Saints were called for everything and the Falcons for very little. Alvin Kamara left the game in the first half following a head to head hit from Falcons linebacker Deion Jones. No flag. Mark Ingram was speared in the back with a helmet in the second half. No flag. An no one was allowed to touch Julio Jones. That atop a roughing the passer call when Sheldon Rankins was pushed, lightly, into Matt Ryan. |
