Coaching staff may bring him along slowly. Eventually he'll get his shot .. maybe not this year. Remember Gallette didn't see the field until his 3rd season or so.

This is the same staff who thought De’Vante Harris should be starting and Crawley should be inactive those first two games... So you know, they make some dumb decisions some times.

Doesnt make sense to not get him on the field...at THE LEAST on 3rd down passing situations. He's "weak" against the run I beg to differ....his run defense CAN NOT be that bad to the point they fear if he's in the game he's guranteed liability. But Devante Harris gets PT... Ijs this is a wasted move. They are just prolonging "growing pains". Saving his mistakes for later down the road instead letting him get some PT and gaining some MUCH needed experience now.

By the way Junior STILL never became an above average run stopper. Muhammad needs and by the looks of the pre-season EARNED some PT. Now he just stands on the sidelines w/ zero real game experience. Saints need to cut the $h!t.

It's hard to say he is not there against the run if you haven't seen him play. If you're judging by preseason, the kid was exceptional in every aspect of the game, that's why he made the 53 roster cause he was too big of risk losing by trying to sneak on the practice squad.

Understand his character flaw and maybe they're trying to develop him more mentally. With that being said, I don't see nothing wrong with giving him 5 snaps a game or just activating him to play ST

Like what else could he possibly do to see playing time? Led the Pre-season in sacks, wasnt perfect but damn sure showed his worth. Alex Okafor goes down NO activation...Trey Hendrickson goes down they sign someone off the street...Activate the man. There is something else to this if he's not hurt. Maybe he gets activated this week...who knows

I don't think people realize how much losing Okafur hurt the defense. He was silently killing the run and rushing passers. He opened the door for other players on defense to shine very brightly. I think they are looking for someone with balanced rush stop and pass rush abilities.

Hendrickson was hurt last week.

FWIW Muhammad was last activated vs the Packers (10/22). He had 3 snaps & no impact. If he's active vs the Jets, I'd like to see his production on special teams.
