We need to draft or sign better receivers.

Coleman needs to hang onto that ball better, he almost blew the game single handedly.

Offense has to stop going 3 and out so often, Brees has to stop throwing ints to D lineman deep in our own territory.

With all that said, I'm proud of this team for pulling out 10 wins so far. Who dat!
I'd rather prefer younger, healthier, stronger offensive linemen from Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska - big corn-fed monsters who absolutely dominate the LOS...

For the past three years, we've all talked about defense and running the ball and now we want to go back to Air Coryell that's been nothing but 0.500 football?!?

I know what you're saying and I'm not saying go Air Coyell, I'm saying when we desperately need 3rd down conversions between 6-8 yards, we never get Receivers open. We are hanging around 35% on third downs for the season.

We were 45.8% last season.

For example, we needed the pass game to work this game because before Ingrams long run, he was at 12 carries for 24 yards....

Ginn, Coleman, Snead and Josh Hill barely make a team elsewhere, Payton has them starting. And while they do an "okay" job, they rarely come up in crunch time.
Rugby Saint II and Utah_Saint like this.

We do need aother wideout, very true. There's a reason Mike iis catching everything and after him oru RB's are leading in rec.

And Ginn wasn't even playing.

That’s makes perfect sense. Guy fumbles twice on two consecutive drives and is back in the game.

Yep. Mike was a solid second round pick & it shows. If you evaluate our roster at the WR position, we have quite a few UDFA's (TLL, Snead, Coleman, Dural, Carr) not only playing but starting yet a lot of us are expecting them to perform like 1st/2nd rounders at the NFL level. Marques Colston's of the world are extremely rare.

I hope we target Jarvis Landry types in the slot and TE's this off season & or look for another speedy WR early (2-4th rounds) in the draft. We're also missing a game breaker (Tyreek Hill type) on kick off returns who can change field position on any given play.

That's true, but then they are starting so they should be playing up to a certain standard and they are not meeting that level.

That falls completely on Paytons shoulders, he's traded Drews targets away often for more help elsewhere which is fine, but;

He replaced Cooks with TLL and Ginn - Nowhere near the same talent level

Traded Jimmy, let Ben Watson walk and left us with Josh Hill

Traded Kenny stills and whilst he wasn't a pro bowler, he and Drew made great 3rd down connections.

If Payton put these guys in, they should be up to a certain standard, not just "oh we don't have any better because I got rid of them all."

We desperately need another receiver to take the pressure off Drew. We also need a tight end........but we definitely need another top draft pick on the O-line.
