It might be the best for taking a shot, but is it the best for getting the first down? Also, I don't think anyone knows they can easily convert a third down. Ask Washington. 😀

If you run the ball on 2nd and short.. convert the first down, then you'd have to pick up enough yards again on first down to put yourself in an equally favorable position. |
