Please Mr. Payton...
...
1. If we are 2nd and short, please try and run Ingram behind Line and hammer it home. 2. Don't always swap Ingram/Kamara out for the other after one play. 3. You, Dennis Allen and the DB coaches ask your backs to turn their heads when defending a pass else don't look surprised when a PI is called. 4. Get the D-Linemen to raise their hands to narrow pawing lanes...look at what Cam did against the Jets. 5. Don't get too cute with plays in the flats. Atlanta have a fast group...time to get rid of finesse and punch them in the mouth. Use line more. 6. I would prefer Brees to throw a short to medium game, and use our guys YAC ability. Not keen on going deep too much. 6a. Poe is a beast. They have a good pass rush. Please get quick releases from Brees. 7. We have a great running game. Use it more than you have been be allow our Running Backs to get into a rhythm. 8. I certainly hope you have taught players how to hold onto the ball. Coleman has been doing a good job until the Jets game. I don't understand how anyone was surprised he fumbled the ball after looking how he was holding it. 9. Our house, our fans, our win...PLEASE! People, this is what I think based on what I have seen. If I have missed anything, or got something wrong, I am sure you will let me know. 😁 |

Re: Please Mr. Payton...
I've never understood the point in always running the ball on 2nd and short. It is statistically the best down and distance for taking a shot down the field and knowing you can easily convert on 3rd down.

Re: Please Mr. Payton...
It might be the best for taking a shot, but is it the best for getting the first down? Also, I don't think anyone knows they can easily convert a third down. Ask Washington. 😀
