New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees continues to place among the NFL's best.

With a 12-yard completion to running back Mark Ingram in the first quarter against the Atlanta Falcons, Brees became the third quarterback in NFL history to throw for 70,000 yards on his career.

Brees joins Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre (71,838) and Payton Manning (71,940) as the only trio to accomplish the feat.

The prolific Saints quarterback has an opportunity to achieve another benchmark in Sunday's game.

Brees entered Week 16 needing 150 yards passing to post his 12th career 4,000-yard passing season, leaving him two behind Manning, who is the league's all-time leader in the category.

Re: Saints quarterback Drew Brees joins 70,000 career yards passing club

Now Nick Saban wants to rewrite history and say he wanted Brees but had to geaux with Culpepper...

Total Bullshinski...

Saban has always prefered the "Athlete Quarterback" to the Pocket Passer; his legacy of this continued through Les Miles...

LSU still has tried this athlete BS even though they regularly crank out quality wide receivers, even some first round picks...

Maybe Coach O will be the one to get LSU's head out of its arse and go to the ProSet as they should with the talent here...

Saints like rolling the dice with medicals, more so than I care, but no team ever gambled to right than when they signed Brees...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
