this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Alright tomorrow... We need the win first. Then the big question who do we root for in the other games? Cats? Clowns? Seahags?...

Re: Who to root for?
Absolutely.
LA Lambs is probably the most important game after a Saints win. They win (and of course we do too) pits us against the Kitties for round #3. They lose (and of course we win) puts us as the #3 seed with weak competition with both the SeaChickens or the FailClowns in the Superdome. So maybe a peek at the divisional is in order. #3 seed on a win (presuming either the Saints or Lambs) goes to Minnesota while the #4 seed goes to Philly. I guess it's an interesting question of whether or not anyone really wants to go to Minnesota for an NFC championship game in their house with them playing to go to the SuperBowl, which is also in their house. So my thinking is that the #3 seed is probably the better seed. Get Minnesota coming off a bye and without the super hyped hoopla of them playing to go to the SuperBowl in their own place. So: Saints win Lambs lose Kitties win FailClowns lose SeaChickens win leading to Wild Card ----------- Saints over Seachickens going to Minnesota and Kitties/Lambs winner going to Philly. Divisional ----------- Saints over Minnesota Kitties/Lambs over Philly NFC championship (in the Superdome) ------------------------------------------- Saints over Kitties/Lambs Superbowl ------------ Saints over the Patriots where Brees shows who's the true GOAT by decimating the Pats defense and our defense putting Brady out to pasture just like we did Kurt Warner and Bret Farve in 2009. There you have it! SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Re: Who to root for?
Ok. Boiled down this thread is asking who scares me? If you're answer is no one then I love your confidence and I hope you're right. But to me this question is easy. It's The Falcons. I missed the last game vs the Dirty Birds but didn't we have 2 goal line stands? What if both of those drives ended in TDs? These boys had the Pats 28-3 in the Bowl a little over a yr ago. Cam is a gangster and I'll NEVER forget the Beastmode game and if you're lucky you won't remember what Hasselbeck, Lynch and Seattle's D unleashed on the Saints in that game.

Scam is all the kittens have Cheatin' Pete and the PEDhawks area a shell of themselves; their defense is shattered. I would love to curb stomp them out of the playoffs! |

Re: Who to root for?
As most have said, JUST WIN!!! However, having said that I can't think of ANY scenario short of a falcon win putting the Saints in the playoffs (which is not the case today) that would make me root for them to win.
