Re: Should Payton bow out and concede the division title?
I will say this and probably regret it but here goes. The last Buccaneers scoring play with 20 second left was allowed by the defense called. I'm saying it looked like the defense was called to allow the Bucs to score and here's my rational. Atlanta was leading Carolina with 4 minutes left 19-10 when we had 20 seconds left. Coach knew this and was be very proactive in his decisions that last drive by Tampa Bay. You have to make it look real when tanking a game so Tampa Bay almost doesn't make the 1st down deep in their own territory then all of a sudden they drive 50 yards in 30 seconds. Coach knew that he would rather face the Eagles in the Championship. That's my take! We could've pounded the Bucs yesterday but kept it close so we could go either way in the final minutes, win or lose.

Re: Should Payton bow out and concede the division title?
The Saints get a home playoff game; where Drew Brees has never lost, against a team they handled fairly easily twice already. Sometimes the thing you thought you wanted isn’t the best thing for you. Let’s hope that’s the case for the Saints heading into 2018.

Wouldn’t surprise if Payton saw the Panthers lost and decided to play soft that last drive to avoid injury.
