Since DJ & Carlos Rogers is likely to be pick before #16, my idea will be to trade our pick for a 2005 3rd rd & 2006 1st & 3rd, then be on the phone w/ every team in the 1st rd for a trade for Darren Howard. |

I would have to agree with spkb25. Also, Im not so sure that Carlos Rogers will definetly be gone come our pick at 16. Either way, I think this is a deep class of CBs and it would be worth it to trade down for additonal picks. Rogers being there would depend on how the teams ahead of us rank Rogers, Rolle, and Jones and if for some reason a team would have Justin Miller or Fabian Washington even ahead of Rogers. I only say Miller and Washington because I have read that some times arent that high on Rogers.

Washinton is more likely to pick Carlos Rogers since they have 2 1st rd picks. I am sure we can get a 1st rd trading Howard during the draft but I am not so certain we can make a deal like Denver during the draft

I agree with you that Washington is looking at Rogers but with all the hoopla that could go on before their pick, its not impossible that Rolle or Pac Man Jones could fall to them. There could even be a remote possibility of them grabbing a receiver at that pick especially if somehow someway Mike Williams falls there.

We\'re now hearing that Rogers also is the No. 1 guy on the Redskins\' draft board at the cornerback position. On Tuesday night, Redskins exec Vinny Cerrato said that the team is looking to slide down from No. 9, which tends to support the notion that they\'re eyeing Rogers, who isn\'t regarded as a top ten selection. http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm |

Nola swammi, very good find. If its true, then it looks like we dont have chance at getting Rogers. Back to the original question at hand, I like taking Thomas Davis at 16 and if Rogers is out the picture, then I say trade down with the possibilty of getting Kevin Burnett and either a solid corner or OT. The reason that I like Davis is his versatility. I think he can make it as a LB. If Im wrong, then move him back to SS where he can be Bellamy\'s successor.

I agree with you on Thomas Davis, but with all the talent in this draft I can risk on trading this pick to put us in a better situation next draft.
