OT position thin in this year's draft?
I agree with you whodi. However, I do not think that Ray Willis would be a bad pick later on. With the teams supposed new devotion to the run game, Ray Willis would factor in as a solid right tackle. The real knock on him is that he needs some help on his footwork for pass blocking. However, he is a beast in the run game and would team with either Holland, another road grader, or Mayberry to open some large gaps on the right side of the line. But if we can not get him in the mid rounds or we choose to address another need, then hopefully the Stinchcomb rumor is true and then we can get Gandy\'s successor next year. I am not in favor of grabbing Brown or Barnes because I think we have too many needs that can be adequately addressed with the picks it would take to grab either of those guys.

Heard some good things about Willis, and definitely am not opposed to taking him later. Hell, I would take Baas as a C in the 3rd and move Bentley back to guard, but that ain\'t gonna happen either. The coaches would never admit Bentley would be better served at guard and will kepp him at C, which admittedly he should be better at this year. But I am not sold on Brown as a #16 pick, and Barron should be gone, probably to Carolina. If we trade back, get a few more picks, okay. But seems like next year is a better year to get that franchise LT in the draft.

That about says it. Good analysis that I would have to agree with.

Why not trade Darren Howard for a 2006 2nd rounder?
With Mayberry/Stinch and the possibility of re-signing Riley it may be a smart move. Now if a OT slips this year I\'m all for grabbing one. |

Trade Howard for a 2006 first rounder, or to Dallas for a swap of #1 picks AND a 2006 second rounder if DJ is at 11, but for a stand alone 2006 second rounder? I don\'t like that one Danno.
