Re: What we learned after the Saints' playoff win against the Panthers
I am not going to complain about Payton's 4th down call. He tried, it failed. Remember the 4th down in the second game? People probably thought 'for chrissakes Payton, kick a goddamn field goal. Kamara punched it in and we all thought it was great. I will not knock him. If it was on our own 20 yard line? May have been a teensy bit annoyed.

3rd down efficiency this year is a real problem, and now they HAVE to do better there in these next games to keep winning.

A Saints W is a Saints W. I'll take a W that ugly or nerve racking or close any day.
I would prefer to do without this kind of "on the edge " excitement. There is no next week during these post season games. What have I learned? Same thing throughout the season. I would them to W , but early on in the 1st and 2nd qrtr. Score high. Big lead. Keep it up. Saints won this game, but IF, IF CPanths had more time, they could have won too. On to MiniVikings this week. I want the Saints to W any way they can, but I sure would like them to be a big threat and win big and win early and win easy. |

It's not that *****y at all. If we lost this game I would have called out his heart. You have to keep your foot on the throat. What I saw down the stretch reminded me of the week 6 game last season. And giving them two field goals around the halfway point is uncalled for. |
