As sloppy as the game was for the Saints
Got to remember this is the 3rd meeting from a team thats gotten closer and closer each time they played us.
1st meeting - 21 points 2nd meeting - 10 points 3rd meeting - 5 points Reason I say its hard to beat a team 3 times in one season, That Panthers team could of beaten us today if they wasnt their own enemy. I am only hoping this is why kamara and ingram was hardly involved. If this team is to win in Minny it needs to establish the running game and ball control and get back on a hot streak like mid season. The one good thing that came out of this game is I believe most game film the Vikings will have on the Saints in this game will be useless next week. |

Re: As sloppy as the game was for the Saints
Carolina isn't not scrubs. They beat the Vikings during the season. They are a very good football team. This is the playoffs. It doesn't matter how you win or how ugly you look when you do so. It only matters that you do win. If we win the Super Bowl but average 30 penalties a game... I'm fine with it.

Re: As sloppy as the game was for the Saints
You could see the frustration on Carolina's bench and in their players... they wanted it so bad but just couldn't get it done. Next week will be a completely different game with a completely different set of matchups and I'm looking for the Saints to look more like "themselves." The Panthers are a very good team and beat the Vikings earlier in the year as well.... all the games are tough from here on out, but stopping Cam yesterday was huge. Nobody else like that in the tournament.

Re: As sloppy as the game was for the Saints
Carolina has a top 5 run defense, so not surprised Ingram and Kamara were not heavily involved. But they found a way to win because we still have Brees. Run game will have to step up next week against another really good defense.
