In order to win the whole thing, you have to beat the best. I doesn't matter who you lose to.

Imagine... beating Carolina in the Dome
Imagine... beating Minnesota in their stadium
Imagine... beating Atlanta in the Dome...
Imagine... winning the Superbowl against the Patriots and showing Atlanta how to do it.

Think of what all that would mean to Drew Brees and Sean Payton.

You turds are afraid of losing to Atlanta in the Dome?

You people are a bunch of....

Hey..I am going with we are going to win tomorrow and now that the turds lost, it is irrelevant but I am not scared of Philly.

Do you know how jacked up they were for this game? Hearing all week how they can't beat Atlanta, they are underdogs in there own house...the first time ever that the home team coming off a bye was an underdog. IMO, they laid it all out there today. I don't think they can do it again next week. I like how this is playing out.
I'm right there with you on this Mike. I would much rather lose to Philly in Philly than send atlanta to the superbowl from our house every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Especially if that happened and atlanta pulled off the miracle and won it all. That would have been a brutal pill to swallow.

For you people that wanted to play Philly instead of the Falcons in the NFC Championship, I just don't understand (assuming we beat the Vikings).

I'm so peeved the Falcons lost. Playing the Falcons in the NFC Championship would have been the best game you could ever ask to watch between the rivals. We stand a much better chance beating the Falcons in the dome than the Eagles in Philly.

Well in any case, if the Vikings beat us, we can certainly hope they lose their fifth Superbowl.
But losing to them would be much much worse. Would leave a bad taste in my mouth all offseason. If we lose from here on out then I’ll just enjoy the season for what it was and be thankful we got more than expected

I would've loved to get the clowns at home. We beat them already, we're the better team. They barely escaped defeat in their own house with the assistance of the refs and the league office, that game is meaningless to me now. We would've wiped the floor with them if given the chance. That said, I'm not worried about Philly either, assuming we win tomorrow. One way or another the Vikings are our biggest remaining obstacle on the path to the super bowl.

How about the fact that if Atlanta won, we could have lost? We're not a lock to beat Minnesota especially after Atlanta just lost to a less experienced team and a bad QB(they would have won at home or if the eagles were not off a bye). It's also never happened in history where a team played two division games in the playoffs. I don't think playing Atlanta was possible. It was either us at Philly or Atlanta at Minnesota.

We would be hosting the falcons or panthers this round in the playoffs off a bye had we beaten LA week 12(I know, we were 11-5 and two games out).
