this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Just some thinkin on my part but here it goes.. PBuch=2nd rd (47=430)+3rd(78=200)=530 pts. Jolley+2nd(47=430)+6th(182=18 and 185=17)=1st(26=700)+7th(dont know pick #=10)..so jolley=245pts So PBuch is worth 530 draft pts and Jolley is worth 245 pts. Just some thinkin on my part but here it goes..
Some were content with trading straight up for Pbuch and others wanted another pick so... DH=530 + maybe another pick, depending on who you ask. I was at least a 3rd(about another 190pts) I would put Howard's value around 720pts. That is equal to the number 25 pick over all. so there. we trade howard to redskins for the 25th pick :jester: |

Then trade our 16th and 25th to land DJ and a 2nd rounder

I really dont think trading up in this draft is a good idea. Either staying put or tradind down maybe 4-5 spots, but moving back 5 spots is only worth an upper 3rd (200pts)
I say stay at 16 and see how is available, and if they think they can get their BPA a few spots back trade down, not likely though. I think i\'d almost rather have Davis over DJ anyway. I want a hard hitter not someone that has his hitting questioned. |

your right, this was just the new one that came up today, but its exactly what AJ smith would do to get dallas nervous and make a dumb move. AJ wants either spears or merriman and all the bolt bredern are thinking this \"rumor\" is just a way to get parcells to bite

if we can trade howard and a pick for another first rounder that would be really nice. we would have so many options then. we could trade one of our first for more picks or we could select two guys in the first. in all honesty i would like to see us do either. if the talent is still there in the first round. if not trade for a second and third.
one thing that bothers me to this day is how we put two first rounders on sully. not because he is a bust but of course that does hurt even more. but really because i would have loved to get two first rounders that year. i was excited about sully that year after we traded down for him but not as excited as i was going into the draft thinking we were getting two first rounders |
Your team stinks

The trade to San Diego was Howard and a fourth for the 28th pick. That would allow San Diego to take Troy Williamson at 12 to get the young wideout they need and then they would turn the 28th pick into Darren Howard. I think that would settle their need for a wideout and a defensive end. You?

I think it\'ll come down to a multi-pick swap.
Darren Howard and our #16 for a higher 1st rounder and a 3rd. But basically if you use the value chart it\'ll equate to Howard for a late 1st/early 2nd. |
